I'm Denise Lever. I've always been a trailblazer.

I’m Denise Lever, founder of Baker Creek Academy and TrailblazED Microschool Leadership Forge. Since 2020, I’ve helped launch 11 thriving microschools serving more than 74 learners—nearly 15% of the K–8 student population in Eagar, Arizona.
As a former wildland firefighter and longtime homeschooling mom, I bring grit, courage, and resilience to education reform. Today, I mentor microschool founders nationwide, equipping them to grow bold, learner-centered schools that transform communities.
