White Mountain Schoolhouse
Nestled in the foothills of Eagar, Arizona, White Mountain Schoolhouse is an in-home microschool where education is no longer one-size-fits-all. Here, we believe that your child's learning should be as unique as them.
Our mission is to cultivate curiosity, foster critical thinking, and inspire personal growth in a supportive, close-knit environment. Whether it’s through engaging projects, outdoor adventures, or one-on-one mentorship, we’re here to ensure your child thrives on their educational journey.
Welcome to a new way of learning, outside of the status quo:
Welcome to White Mountain Schoolhouse.

Microschool Founder: Jayna Edwards
Jayna grew up in sunny Southern California before attending Brigham Young University-Idaho where she met her husband. They eventually ended up in Eagar, his hometown, and don't plan to ever look back at life in the city! They currently have a 5 year old daughter and 2 year old son. Jayna has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and has been involved with teaching and coaching children for the last decade. She enjoys fishing, going to Disneyland, adult coloring books, and attempting to garden (not always successfully).
Learning about microschools and their focus on guiding children to discover knowledge for themselves sparked Jayna’s interest to found White Mountain Schoolhouse, which emphasizes providing unique educational opportunities for learners and supporting parents in raising independent, free-thinkers. White Mountain Schoolhouse encourages self-driven learning within a safe, close-knit environment and focuses on individualized education—meeting students where they are rather than where they “should be” based on their age alone. Her program puts a large emphasis on learning through play as well as hands-on exploration.
