Janet’s Thrive Academy is a home-based microschool located in Springerville, AZ, offering an alternative to traditional public school education. The academy focuses on nurturing children's curiosity, building confidence, and providing personalized education tailored to their needs. It offers small class sizes, innovative self-paced homeschool curricula, group learning, project-based learning, and more.
Janet’s Thrive Academy does not use a traditional grading system and emphasizes fun and engaging targeted learning to help kids reach their academic goals. The academy aims to incorporate flexible, student-led curriculum, proven high-quality curricula, and a variety of activities such as daily journal reflections, movement breaks, creative projects, learning through play, group learning, and community-building activities.
As a new addition to the Baker Creek Academy/TrailblazED network, Janet’s Thrive Academy stands out by prioritizing student-led learning, creativity, and academic excellence.

Hi, I’m Janet —mom of three amazing girls, creative soul, and passionate homeschool educator. When I’m not crafting with crochet, sewing, or making handmade paper projects, I’m dedicated to creating a learning space where kids feel inspired, confident, and excited to learn.
As a homeschooling mom, I know how important it is for children to have an education tailored to their unique strengths and needs. That’s why I started Janet’s Thrive Academy within the TrailBlazED Network—to combine personalized learning with hands-on creativity, using engaging curriculums, play based learning, project based learning, and collaboration. Here, learning goes beyond textbooks—we dive into projects, explore big ideas, and build a community where every child feels seen and valued. My approach focuses on empowering students through autonomy, collaboration, and goal setting—helping them grow into confident, capable learners.
I believe learning should spark joy and curiosity. At Thrive Academy, your child will grow academically, socially, and emotionally, all while gaining the confidence to take charge of their own learning journey.
Currently, I have seven amazing learners grades K-2. This may change based on the needs of the learning community/cohort. To maintain the individualized approach to learning, I have limited spots to nine learners. This will help ensure that each and every student gets the one on one and small group focused attention necessary to help them reach their learning goals and become empowered learners.
