Music Teacher
Kaylene Evans has served as the principal violist for the White Mountain Symphony
since 2015. Holding a Bachelor of Music Education from Northern Arizona University,
she specializes in the Suzuki Method Philosophy with additional expertise in Music
Mind Games.
In 2013, she pioneered a music program from the ground up at Concho Elementary,
offering a diverse curriculum from Preschool through 8th grade. Classes included
Music and Movement, Suzuki Violin, Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, General Music, and
Chamber Orchestras. Before Concho, she spent two years at Marshall Elementary
instructing Suzuki Violin for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade. Alongside her public
school commitments, she has been actively involved in teaching private lessons since
2007. Kaylene's contributions to music education have earned her recognition as a
2018 Music & Arts semi-finalist for the Music Educator of the Year Award.

In addition to her musical pursuits, Kaylene enjoys being a Game Master for Dungeons
and Dragons, reading a variety of novels, playing board games, and streaming video
games. She also enjoys engaging in clowning activities such as creating balloon
animals and juggling.
Outside of her interests, Kaylene cherishes quality time with her husband and their
lively household of three dogs, four cats, and a rabbit.
