Voice & Piano Online Lessons
I am Ma'alie A'ma, a professional singer & pianist and am happy you are here!

Instructor: Ma'alie A'ma
Since early childhood, music was my most favorite thing. I sang and tried things on the piano all
the time – long before I had any formal lessons. My training began early though with formal
piano lessons at age 5. With piano as the cornerstone, I also explored violin studies and
eventually had my first voice lesson at age 14. After High School I was accepted to the
Mozarteum Salzburg (one of Europe's most esteemed conservatories) where I completed both
Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees in Piano Performance & Pedagogy. Through my work
as a pianist/ accompanist for many great singers, I was very drawn to the vocal part of music,
and decided to take up Voice again. I studied with some of the best teachers in Salzburg,
London, New York, France, and Bucharest.
Some of my teachers were Marlena Malas, Arthur Levy, Amy Burton, Sophie Koch, and Claudia
Codreanu, to mention a few. I officially studied Voice at the Royal College of Music, London,
Mannes School of Music, New York City, and Masterclasses world wide.
My singing career has led me to sing with New York City Opera, Opera Carolina, Opera Seattle,
Odyssey Opera Boston, Opera Grand Rapids, Kentucky Opera, The Martina Arroyo Foundation
NYC, and others.
As the pandemic took over I had 2 years of contracted performances cancelled leaving me to
explore other sides of life and my potential.
While I still perform, I absolutely love teaching and
have been very nourished the past years working with many different students of all ages and
stages as well as creating my own music, deepening my Jazz studies and other genres.
Exploring one’s Unique Sound, be it on the piano or voice, is one of the most rewarding and
exciting things in life – it is not only an incredible tool for self-development in any stage of life,
but also has remarkable benefits for the longevity of our brain. I hope for the opportunity to
share in your journey. Let’s sing & sound, and make the world a better place!
